Mercuria is a major player in the Physical and Financial Global Commodity markets, with major trading centres in London, Geneva, Houston, Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing. We actively trade in all the major commodity asset classes, from Crude and Refined oil products to power & gas, coal and emissions, through to freight, metals, and agricultural products.
Working as part of the Financial Operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for Trade Validation and Reporting of all applicable deals within stipulated deadlines, in line with business transaction procedures, covering a variety of products including Power & Gas, oil derivatives, and Metals.
Key Responsibilities
Trade validation
to ensure that all trades are accurately captured in ETRM
Trade reporting
to keep abreast of the latest reporting requirements set down by local authorities for OTC derivatives
to ensure compliant reports are sent to the authorities (eg MAS, ASIC) before the stipulated deadline
to troubleshoot and liaise with internal/external stakeholders in event of mapping or mismatching issues
MAS reporting
Review and propose appropriate enhancements to streamline processes
Any other tasks as directed by your line manager.
Technical qualifications & skills
Fresh graduates with Degree and Diploma will be considered
Experience in Power & Gas, Env Products and Oil derivatives is advantageous but not necessary
IT proficiencies on Excel Macro, VBA and any computer language will be an added advantage
MAS reporting knowledge/experience
