Mercuria sponsored documentary film “Legacy of China” will be screened on China Central TV (CCTV) channel 4 on Dec. 12 th and 13th, 2011.
The film’s original English version was produced by Mercuria MCG, which is a JV of Mercuria Group and Media Construction Group, with Mercuria Group as sole investor. Jonathan Finnigan as director and Garry McAlpine as executive producer.
The movie is based on the lifework of Cambridge scholar Joseph Needham, who arrived in China during World War II. Over the last fifty years of his life, Needham devoted himself to the study of ancient China whereby he revealed some of China’s most extraordinary secrets.
Mercuria Investment Consulting (Beijing) co. was authorized by Mercuria MCG to adopt the film into a shortened, modified Chinese version, which will be screened on CCTV.
The production and screening of “Legacy of China” reflects Mercuria Group’s consistent dedication to promote cultural enrichment and intercultural understanding.
