LPG Operator



  • Good knowledge of contract terms (Commercial terms/Credit terms/Inco terms/Shipping terms/Legal clauses)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Detailed and meticulous
  • Good knowledge on pricing structure and computation
  • Good knowledge on the qualities of LPG from different producers
  • Good knowledge of main LPG loadports and disports


Execution of Contracts

  • Taking responsibility for timely and accurate execution of contracts
  • Declaration of contractual options at optimal timing
  • Ensure receipt and/or passing of timely and accurate nominations, laycans declaration/agreements/instructions
  • Knowledge of Charter-Party terms is an added advantage
  • Coordinate timing of ETA between C/P and commercial contract and optimization of timing
  • Establishing optimal quantity to be loaded, according to contract quantity and price and c/p terms and Stowage plan from Master.
  • Knowledge, optimization and approximate calculation of demurrage costs
  • Following vessel during laden passage, reporting of position, ETA’s



  • Knowledge of Bill of Lading terms, Insurance terms, Customs documentations in particular and other Shipping documents in general
  • Issuing documentary instructions
  • Cross-checking shipping documents and request amendments where necessary



  • Knowledge of credit tools (Doc L/C vs. SBL/C vs. Pre-payment vs. open account)
  • Understanding of L/C terms and UCP of Letters of Credit
  • in –house coordination and with counterparts to ensure L/C is fully negotiable


Quality Assurance

  • Knowledge of required quality specifications and comparison of specifications purchase vs. sale
  • Checking of quality analysis vs. contractual requirements
  • Identify quality differences, positive or negative.


Quantity Control

  • Close liaison with counterparties, surveyors, master etc to minimize cargo loss during loading, voyage and discharging.


Admin duties

  • Input of Shipment details
  • Manage cost provisions with direct impact into PNL
  • Verification and timely vouching of receivables and payables
  • Declaration and Issuance of Insurance certificates for Vessels whenever required
  • Receiving/checking/sending of Shipping documents
  • Establishing of insurance claims and coordination with Insurance Department
